Residents across seven more towns in Iloilo can now expect faster and more efficient healthcare services after their local health facilities officially attained Functional Electronic Medical Record (EMR) status, bringing the province’s total to 18.
The additional facilities recognized after passing the Functional EMR Assessment and Compliance Evaluation (FEMRACE) validation were the Rural Health Units of Maasin, Dueñas and Dumangas, and the Primary Care Facilities of Cabatuan, Barotac Nuevo, Miagao and San Joaquin.
The seven facilities join Balasan, Batad, Carles, Dingle, Guimbal, Mina, Oton, Passi City, Pavia, Pototan and San Enrique in Iloilo Province’s growing network of EMR-equipped health facilities.
The digital transformation aims to make healthcare delivery more responsive and patient-centered, especially for residents seeking consultations, follow-up care and other medical services at government-run facilities.
The Functional EMR Assessment and Compliance Evaluation and monitoring activities were led by the Health Information System Unit of the Iloilo Provincial Health Office in partnership with the Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development.
The Iloilo Provincial Health Office also commended local government units, healthcare workers and partner agencies for their continued collaboration in expanding digital health services in the province.
