The municipalities of Dumangas and Leganes and the City of Passi undergo Project Quality Inspection for the establishment of comfort rooms in support of the Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) program – Philippine Approach to Sustainable Sanitation (PhATSS) Grade 2 – Basic Sanitation.
Last May 19, 2026, a project monitoring and inspection activity was conducted across the three LGUs to ensure that the constructed comfort rooms meet the standards of quality, safety, functionality, and sustainability.
The inspection team was composed of representatives from the Provincial Engineer’s Office, City/Municipal Engineers, City/Municipal Health Offices, Provincial Health Office – Quality Performance and Management Team, and the Provincial Health Office Program Coordinators.
Together, the team carefully assessed the completed and ongoing structures, reviewed compliance with project plans, and evaluated the overall functionality and usability of the facilities.
The team visited these strategic public locations in Passi City, Dumangas, and Leganes where the comfort rooms were constructed, reaffirming the commitment of the Province of Iloilo towards sustaining its Zero Open Defecation program and achieving PhATSS Grade 2 – Basic Sanitation Status.
Beyond inspection, the activity also served as an avenue to gather valuable feedback from local implementers regarding concerns and recommendations in the implementation of the project.
