One Step Closer: Dueñas Pursues Primary Care Facility Licensing

On May 13, 2026, a 𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐞𝐧̃𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐏𝐂𝐅) by the Iloilo Provincial Health Office Development Management Officer together with the Provincial DOH Office Development Management Officer, aimed at evaluating the readiness of the facility in meeting the standards and requirements necessary for PCF licensing, which focused on ensuring that the facility is capable of delivering accessible, quality, and people-centered primary health care services to the community in line with the goals of UHC.

Following the assessment, a feedbacking session was also conducted with the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚, to discuss the initial findings, recommendations, and necessary interventions for the improvement and compliance of the facility. The activity also highlighted the important role of the Local Government Unit in supporting health system strengthening and ensuring the successful attainment of a licensed PCF.
