The 2026 Developmental League has successfully concluded most of its sporting events, with athletics rescheduled to June due to the condition of the track oval. The league is organized by the Iloilo Sports Development and Management Office.
A total of 24 municipalities across Iloilo took part in the competition, showing strong support for the province’s continuing effort to strengthen grassroots sports development.
According to Sports Development Officer IV Mr. Ray Cabarles, the league is part of the programs of the Iloilo Provincial Government. It aims to develop the skills of young Ilonggo athletes aged 15 and below and prepare them for future competitions, including events under the Department of Education.
This year’s league features 10 sports: arnis, badminton, basketball, chess, football, table tennis, tennis, swimming, volleyball, and athletics.
