CAPITOL FUNDS OVER P23M BARANGAY PROJECTS

More barangays will soon have better roads, healthcare facilities and public buildings after Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. turned over P23.32 million in financial assistance for priority infrastructure projects in seven barangays.

Among the beneficiaries were four barangays in Cabatuan. Barangay Cagban received P5.54 million for the construction of a multipurpose gymnasium, while Barangay Tinio-an was granted P4.22 million for a new multipurpose hall.

Barangay Ito Sur received P3 million for the construction of a new barangay hall and multipurpose hall, and Barangay Tiring obtained P1.63 million to complete its barangay healthcare facility.

Cabatuan Mayor Elizalde Pueyo joined the turnover ceremony and accompanied officials from the municipality's recipient barangays.

Outside Cabatuan, Barangay Capiñahan in Lemery received P4 million for the construction of a multipurpose hall.

Meanwhile, Barangay Badu in Calinog was allotted P3 million for a road concreting project expected to improve access for residents, motorists and farmers transporting agricultural produce.

In Barangay Jardin, Dumangas, the provincial government turned over P1.93 million for the construction of a road along 7th Avenue.

The funded projects are expected to strengthen the delivery of frontline government services while providing residents with safer and more functional public facilities.
